We had 15 families attend after an initial consultation, one child even learnt to cycle for the first time without stabilizers, We are hoping that through this the child and her mother may begin to cycle to school together, we are also planning to do a playing out day at the school to follow up, with some of the parents to see what activities they’ve been up to, as well as a chance to encourage them to do a playing out day for themselves or cycle to school.
The What’s Your Game? Project has been working with Local People Hull to deliver this event as well as Healthy Lifestyles, who brought their popular smoothie bike! We also had a PCSO in attendance, First Steps Sports, Councilor Hester Bridges who supported the event, bringing free bike locks for all the children, Southcoates Neighbourhood Coordinator James Moore was also in attendance.
It was a great event which enabled us to bring together families from the local community and build connections with other organisations and charities.
We look forward to working even more closely with Southcoates School and their families!
