Child Dynamix is a legacy charity of the New Deal for Communities ten-year programme on the Preston Road estate (2000 -2010). It was founded in 2005 by Jane Stafford who also became its first CEO. The charity provides services including day nurseries, family hub, youth centre and community sports activities. The charity has expanded over the years and now provides services across the City of Hull and has provided services in other parts of the region. Its vision is to see communities where children and young people thrive, employing over 80 people and having the support of over 70 volunteers the charity reaches and works with 4000 children, young people and their families every year.

Jane Stafford has worked on the Preston road estate since 2001 and is now moving on to a new role as the CEO of the Hull University Students Union in August Jane said “working as part of the regeneration programme, founding and leading Child Dynamix has been one of the greatest privileges of my working career, the teams I have worked with are amazing, committed, strong and resilient. They make a difference every day. I am proud to have been a part of its story and look forward to seeing what Child Dynamix does next.

Caroline East has been appointed as the Interim CEO and takes up the role at the beginning of August. Caroline has worked on the estate since 2001 and has worked in a number of different roles starting out as Deputy Manager of the Janet Genter Community Nursery, Caroline is currently the Head of Operations for the Charity.
